IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David D.
Dugan
June 15, 1944 – March 20, 2017
David D. Dugan passed away March 20, 2017 at the age of 72.
He was born June 15, 1944, the oldest child of D.R. (Dean) and Mary Frances Dugan of Elkland, MO.
After graduating from Marshfield High School and SMS, Dave served two years as an officer in the US Army.
He spent several years in sales before turning to the real estate business- first as an agent then a builder. Dave bought, sold, remodeled, and built numerous homes in the Springfield area.
He was also a lifelong auto enthusiast- buying, selling, restoring and building dozens of collector cars. He was a lifetime member of Ozarks Antique Auto Club, but Dave's proudest role was as a father to his twin daughters Angie and Stacey. He and "the girls" explored, traveled, floated, and enjoyed numerous other activities. They were the love and joy of his life, and ultimately blessed him with five wonderful grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his daughters, Stacey Dugan-Wilcox (Gary) and Angie Carter (Buck); grandchildren, Caleb, Jackson, Josh, Wyatt and Evie, all of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving are brothers, Ron of Elkland, Ben and Velma of California, MO, and Rick of Jasper, GA; sister, Denise Dugan of Columbia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
At Dave's request, no funeral service is planned. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at wish.org.
