A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 5th at Covenant Presbyterian Church located at 2441 S. Lone Pine Avenue, Springfield, MO at 2:00 PM for David Lawrence Daniel, age 68 of Ozark, MO who passed away at 12:59 AM, Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in Springfield, MO. Per David's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
He was born the son of Jack Wiley Daniel and Wanda Lee Moore Daniel in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1954.
He attended Keist Elementary and Brian Adams High School in Dallas Texas. He was a Charter member of the Dallas Paleo Society and a Charter Member of the Home Church of the Rockies in Florissant, CO.
He was a master craftsman and cabinet maker. He owned a furniture manufacturing shop on main street Dallas known as Lawrence Creations where he built Curved Glass Chinas and stained-glass walk-in bars. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially digging for fossils in the bad lands of South Dakota and Nebraska.
David was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Wanda Daniel of Dallas, Texas, a brother, Randy Daniel of Colorado Springs, CO, a niece Jennie Marie Daniel of Grand Saline Texas, his mother and father-in-law, Marvin and Ruth Hamilton of Holly, Colorado and his grandparents Maude and Moses Moore and Buddy and Mertis Daniel of Dallas Texas.
He is survived by his wife Deanna Hamilton Daniel, a daughter Kathryn Daniel and her two sons Brandon and Dakota, a son Douglas Daniel, his wife Michelle, and their two children Liam and Lorelei and another son, Jonathan Daniel, all transplanted from Colorado to Springfield, MO, in 2022, Also surviving are his brother Danny Daniel (Linda) of Grand Saline, Texas, a sister-in-law Julie Bedell of Maine, and Deanna's siblings Marvin (Linda) Hamilton of Gunnison, CO, Debby (Rod) Williams of Springfield, MO, and Dean Hamilton of Springfield, MO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other family, and many friends.
An inurnment will take place at a later date in the family lot of his wife, Deanna, in the Holly Cemetery, Holly, Colorado.
