David Estes Coppage, 72, Springfield, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 in his home.  He was born June 17, 1951 in Springfield, the son of James Joseph, Sr. and Mary Lenna Estes Coppage.

He is survived by one sister, Sarah O'Quinn, two brothers, James Joseph, Jr. (Jim) and William Edward (Billy) and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was a graduate of Parkview High School. After graduation he worked at a wide variety of jobs, including construction in Alaska, commercial fishing in Florida and stringing power lines across the Royal Gorge.  He loved hunting and fishing and being with friends in his youth.
