David Louis Cole, 70, of Ozark, MO passed away May 5, 2015 at Cox South Hospital. He was born March 6, 1945 in Tulia, TX, the son of Roy and Laura (Cox) Cole. David married Karen Layman February 7, 1986. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his five older brothers. He is survived by his wife, Karen; children Lory and Bart Hobbs, Leah and Joby Hinton (their children, Kylee and Brett), Holly and Brett VonWiller (their children, Dylan Wright, Rhian and Millie), and Christy and Gary Tidwell (their children, Tyler and Jordan). David loved his church family at Southside Church of Christ in Ozark. He worked with Respond Systems for 28 years, allowing him to combine his love of horses and making a living. He loved his family and doted on his grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children's Home, 3132 N. Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, MO 65757.
