In Loving Memory of A. Darren Scott
January 5, 1965 – January 19, 2025

Darren Alan Scott (Lumpy, Hollywood) of Springfield, Missouri went to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 60. Darren was preceded in death by his mother, Clarita Lou Scott of Springfield, Missouri.

Beloved Father to Trista Stevenson, Drew Scott, Taylor Scott, Jeigh Scott, Nikolas Scott, and Mason Scott; Loving Grandfather to Avayah S., Adelina S., Athena S., Cleia S., Nash C., and Elliana S.; Loyal Brother to Therese Lee, Richard Scott, Johnny Scott, Garra Williams, Gregory Scott, and Jene Scott; and Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Lumpy was a native to Springfield and in his earlier years, spent time in Los Angeles, California. He loved to groove to and play "Funk", play the bass guitar and the drums. While in Los Angeles he played in a band with his older brothers, Richard and Johnny. They opened for "Felony" and "Sound Barrier" at Madam Wongs West in West Los Angeles, California. Lumpy also enjoyed fishing, playing bones, cooking out, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a career painter and painted many of the buildings around Springfield. At the height of his career, he owned a commercial painting business.

Darren will be greatly missed by an abundance of family and friends. The impact that he made on his peers is nothing less than indelible. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at noon.
