Darren Anthony Jungers, age 36, of Springfield, Missouri was called to a new life with a higher purpose just as he was discovering his purpose in this life.   His tenacity to overcome life's obstacles gave him strength and optimism for his future.   Darren "Doodie" was a budding entrepreneur, a zealous Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan, and a supporter of animal rights, but most of all he was a loyal, forthright person who placed his friends and family above his own desires.  His smile was contagious and his witty sense of humor brought joy to those he touched. The hole he left behind in so many hearts will never be replaced, but our memories will be filled with joy and celebration as we remember such a wonderful son, brother, cousin, and friend.

Darren was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Traw and Alma and Frank Jungers and his father, Carl Jungers.

He is survived by his mother, Pattie Venuti and his stepfather, Tony Venuti of Las Vegas, Nevada, four brothers including Carl Jungers Jr. of Breckenridge, Colorado, Daniel Jungers of Bradenton, Florida, David Jungers of Rogersville, Missouri and Dennis Jungers of Marshfield, Missouri, and one sister, Deb Hamilton of Nixa, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Eastlawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at Hickory Hills Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society, 3161 W Norton Rd, Springfield, MO 65803.
