Darrell Warren Hinds, 75 of Ozark, Missouri passed away at 2:00 AM Friday, October 14, 2011 in his home. Mr. Hinds was born October 3, 1936 in Springfield the son of Virgil and Lillie Robinson Hinds. He was united in marriage to Barbara Tucker Hinds on November 18, 1960 in Springfield. To this union was born Brett Warren Hinds and Kara Hinds Moen. He was a member of Briar Street Baptist Church where he served twenty-one years as minister of music and associate pastor. Darrell retired with thirty years of service at the US Medical Center. He also worked over fifty years in the funeral business, currently working with Barbara at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Loren; sisters, Barbara Wright, Rossalee Futrell and sister-in-law, Judy Tucker Lile; and brothers-in-law, Kent Wright and John Fath. Darrell is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; son, Brett Hinds and wife, Pam and their children, Morganne, Garrett and Wyatt all of Buffalo; daughter, Kara Moen and her children, Lily and Luke all of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a sister, Mona Fath; brother, John Hinds and wife, Linda; mother-in-law, Eula Tucker Cloven; brother-in-law, Harold Futrell; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wright, Paula and Harold Wright and Orville Lile. Funeral services will be Monday, October 17, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery.
