Darlene Myrtle Campbell, 88, of Springfield MO, passed away April 29th at 6:25 AM, at the Neighborhoods of Quail Creek. She was born January 11th, 1929 in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Harold and Alice Bammon. Darlene was co-owner of Campbell Distributing Company. Darlene was a life time member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, The International Chapter of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Ladies Auxiliary Elks Lodge #409, and was a 52-year member of Kingsway United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband William T. Campbell.

She is survived by her two sons Thomas E. Campbell and wife Jamie, and Steven H. Campbell and wife Diana, all of Springfield. A brother-in-law Joe Campbell and wife Joan of Fayetteville, AR. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; Amber Herring and husband Kent, Blake and Kail, Sarah Thomas and husband Kelly, William, Jennifer Burdett, Mark and Shawn Campbell, and friend Marissa, Spencer, Jude and Anna.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Neighborhoods at Quail Creek. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 2nd from 12-1 PM, with services following at 1 PM in the Gorman-Scharpf University Chapel with Rev. Jim Mason officiating.

Private burial will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
