Daniel J. Newman was a caring Uncle, Brother and devoted Husband and Son. He was a very loving father who was extremely proud of his two daughters. He often enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Addyson. He loved taking his family out to eat and enjoyed hearing the adventures of their day. He was known for being witty, fun loving and always taking chances. He always dreamed of hitting it big. He often told stories that others were always willing to listen to as well as his many secrets to the wonders of life. He was an avid sports fan. He was always cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. He really enjoyed listening to music, especially Rock N' Roll. He was a proud American who served his country as a Marine. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Newman and father Harold Newman.
Daniel is survived by his daughters Valerie (Bryan) Franklin and Jessica Newman, mother, Stella Newman, brother, David (Diane) Newman, sisters Denise Newman and husband Richard Schwartz and Donna Newman, granddaughter Addyson Jordan Franklin, and nieces Angie McTeer and Michelle Auzias De Turenne.
He was loved more than he knew and will be forever missed.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
A gathering will immediately follow the service at 2430 East Red Ivy, Springfield, MO 65804.
