Daniel Timothy Cunningham, 68, passed away May 22, 2021, after a courageous battle against brain cancer.

Dan was born Jan. 12, 1953, in Springfield, Missouri, and attended St. Agnes schools. He attended Southwest Missouri State University where he pursued his interest in photography. He spent 13 years in New York as a professional photographer, primarily in the fashion industry. Following his return to Springfield in the early 1990s, he opened a photography studio. His area of emphasis focused primarily on commercial work as well as business and family portraits.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Edna Bartles, and his father, Robert Eugene  Cunningham. He is survived by his son, Alexander Cunningham, Springfield; his daughter and son-in-law, Cassidy and Grant Brallier, Rogersville; two brothers, Mike Cunningham and his wife, Cindy, Springfield; and Patrick Cunningham and his wife, Debbie, Springfield; his niece, Kellie Cunningham, Springfield; and his nephew, Kyle Cunningham, Springfield.

A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
