Daniel Beckett, 53, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, October 09, 2013 after a short illness. He was a 1978 graduate of Parkview HS and a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Muriel Beckett of Springfield; brothers Gregory (Dan Dexter) Beckett, Chicago, IL, Peter (Janice) Beckett, Springfield, Jonathan (Penné) Beckett, Urbana IL, and Timothy (Nancy) Beckett, Detroit, MI; sisters, Amy Beckett (Monte Tarbox), Silver Spring, MD, Julia Beckett (Keith Gatti), Akron, OH, and Laura Gordon (Gary), Bartlett, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:00am in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the funeral home.
