Daniel Brooke Tucker, 37, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on February 21, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Calvert-Metzler Funeral Home in Bloomington, Illinois, the Rev. Bradley Watkins officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Bloomington visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. A visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri, Daniel was born on March 4, 1973 in Blue Island, Illinois, to Joel and Karen Tucker. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hayes and Mildred Tucker and Kenneth and Virginia Brooks. He is survived by his parents, Joel and Karen Tucker, his brothers Joe Fegley and Zak Tucker, his sisters Debbie Wickland, Pam Tucker and Amanda Cook, and many nieces and nephews. He graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1992, where he was a member of the football team. After graduation, he was a cook and care giver in the Springfield area. Daniel was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the outdoors and sharing his experiences with family and friends. He was generous with his handmade fly-fishing lures and with his knowledge and experience. He was a devoted son, grandson, brother and uncle and was beloved by all who knew him. Memorials can be made to the Southwest MO Humane Society, Springfield, Missouri.
