Daniel Miner Skiles

Born July 27, 1950 in Springfield, Missouri to Orvil and Guinevere Skiles.

Dan went home on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Survived by his wife Mary of 47 Years and his children Nick Skiles & Heather Skiles-Seager.

The meaning of family took to a new light with him -  this consisted of his brothers Lee and Zane Skiles, their spouses and his nieces and nephews but it never stopped there. He 'adopted' many friends and children and was always there to help where he was able.

There was always a strength behind Dan that could not be wavered; this consisted of hard work and always trying to find best for the ones he loved.

Dan also knew a lighter side of life that would consist of friends, dancing, golf and music.

Dan will be greatly missed by his loved ones and those that were blessed to cross paths with him.  More importantly he would not want anyone to grieve his loss…he would want them to celebrate.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16th from 2-4 PM with a service at 4PM at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 East Seminole, Springfield, MO 65804.
