"Excuse me while I kiss the sky". On January 11, 2014, long before his time Craig Matthew Byersmith earned his wings. Craig was larger then life and that was exactly how he lived his life. Craig was born in Stratford NJ on June 16,1993 and lived in NJ until he and his family came west to Springfield, MO in 2006. Craig was predeceased by his grandparents Donald and Thelma Scout. He is survived by his devoted mom Cynthia Byersmith, Springfield, MO, father Paul Byersmith, JR, Secane PA, Stepdad Larry Vandevander, Springfield, MO. He was blessed to have 4 siblings, brother Paul Byersmith III, Springfield, MO, sister Krysta Byersmith, Springfield, MO, Nicholas Byersmith, Elkton MD, and Jessica Byersmith, Elkton MD, and his "brother from another mother" Levi Hare, Springfield, MO. His greatest joy was his niece Arianna Byersmith, Springfield, MO. He was nephew to Catherine & Ron Lunn, Haddon Hts., NJ, Christopher & Debra Scout, Flowery Branch, GA, and Caron Davis, Springfield, MO. Cousins Matthew Scout, Jessica Scout, Joshua Lunn, Samantha Lunn, Erica Lunn, Madison Davis, and Julia Davis. Grandparents Paul & Terry Byersmith, OH, and Sharon & Shirrill Sigrist, FL. Many cousins and friends as well. Craig attended Willard Schools where he played football. Craig loved a pick up game of basketball, drawing and "chillin" to his tunes. He was always there for someone in need and had a huge heart for others. There will be a gathering for friends at a yet to be determined time and place and a Celebration of Life with family and close friends at Finnegan's Wake at a later date. The family asks that any donations be made to The Craig Byersmith Memorial Fund at any Great Southern Bank.
