Clyde L. Rodreick, 89, Springfield, passed away Friday, Nov 13, 2015. He was born Nov 7, 1926 in Monett, MO. He enlisted into military service at the age of 17 in WW II and served in the G-2 Army Intelligence branch of the Army in the South Pacific Theatre of Operations. He was in the investment & insurance profession for 40+ yrs. He was a honest & sincere professional who provided excellent service to all of his clients. He loved people & was highly respected. He attained the CLU (CHARTERED LIFE UNDERWRITER) designation in 1976. He was active in civic affairs, served as President of the BREAKFAST OPTIMIST CLUB & is a lifetime member. Also, he was active in the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, & served 20 yrs on the Board of Directors of UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY, (DEVELOPMENTAL CENTER OF THE OZARKS). He served as a consultant to St. John's Regional Health Center (MERCY) & O'Reilly Automotive for 30+ yrs. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. As a WW II Veteran, he had the pleasure of making an OZARKS HONOR FLIGHT. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Anthony David. Clyde is survived by this wife, Darlene of 68 years. They have 3 children: 1 daughter, Susan (Ken Ellwood), 2 sons Michael (Prudy), & Thomas; 3 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thur Nov 19th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton with Msgr. Thomas Reidy celebrant, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wed Nov 18th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations go to S.E.A.S.
