Clifford C. Kollmeier, 95, Springfield, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009. He was born March 14, 1913, in Lockwood , Mo., to Gustav and Lula Kollmeier. Clifford was united in marriage to Georgia Marie Richardson in 1949. During World War II, he worked for the Watervliet Arsenal in New York. Clifford retired after 30 years as a machinist with the Frisco Railroad. He was member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1947, and a long time member of Springfield Host Lions Club. He served as an adult scout leader for Troop 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church for several years. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. He is survived by his loving wife, Georgia Marie Kollmeier of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Julianne Sarff and husband, Jan, Springfield, Mo.; a son, Bob Kollmeier and wife, Wendy, Nixa, Mo.; two grandchildren, Chelsey Kollmeier, Nixa, Mo., and Brett Sarff, Springfield, Mo.; and many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in Trinity Lutheran Church, with Reverend William R. Marler officiating, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Meinert, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home.
