Obituary

Clidia Mae Hendrick, 76, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She was born in Coahoma, Mississippi; however, Springfield, Missouri has been home for many years.  She is the third oldest of 14 children.

Clidia was born on February 13, 1948 to the late Clyde and Mable Mathews-Marshall.  She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  Clidia loved her family so much and would do anything she could to help and protect them.  She also enjoyed working puzzles, playing games, and spending time with her family.  Clidia is known for hosting the best Thanksgiving dinners, ever, making her amazing dressing that everybody loved.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elbert and Clara Marshall and Mary Moore; her parents, Clyde and Mable Mathews-Marshall; her husband, LeRoy Hendrick; her son, Rickey McGee, Jr; her granddaughter, Jessica Conner; her sister, Susan Marshall; her brother-in-law, Darrell Barge, and her sons-in-law, John Thomas "Tommy" Watson, Jr. and Northern Griffin.

Clidia is survived by her children, Glenda Marshall-Griffin, Teressa Marshall, Marvin Marshall, Michael Hendrick, Chiquita Hendrick, and AnG McGee; her brothers, Jesse Hill (Gayle), Frank Marshall, Clyde Mathews, Jr (Greg Kissee), Elbert Marshall (Lois), Joe Marshall (Debbie), Jimmy Marshall and James Marshall (Teresa); her sisters, Mable Leath, Mary Marshall, Clara Starks (Charlie), Janice Marshall and Jeannie Barge; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was loved so much and will be missed dearly by us all, and in her words "I love you more" or "I love you this much".

Funeral services will be Monday, March 25, 2024 at 11:00 am at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
