Clayton Andrew McCollegan, age 41, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. Clay was a United States Army veteran, serving in Germany, Kuwait, and South Korea. He was a skilled landscaper and avid fisherman. Family was very important to Clay and in particular he took pride in the development and accomplishments of his children. He was a kind and generous man. He will be missed by his many friends and family. Clay was preceded in death by his father, Fred T. McCollegan; grandparents Margaret and John Baize; Evelyn and Fred McCollegan; and Josephine and Andrew Morawski and cousin John Eiserle. He is survived by his wife Tracy McCollegan of Granite City, IL; children, Scott, Justin, and Chelcy McCollegan of Springfield, MO; mother and step-father, Ruth and Richard Morawski of O'Fallon, IL; step-mother, Susan McCollegan of Springfield, MO; sister, Anne Neubauer and husband Jeremy of Boulder, CO; brother Sean McCollegan and wife Kelly of Effingham, IL; aunt, Linda Noblin of Larkspur, CA; aunt and uncle Randy and Fay Sucich of Orlando, FL; aunt and uncle Joyce and Frank Eiserle of Fairview Heights, IL and cousin, Jeremy Noblin and wife Amy of Larkspur, CA. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at King's Way United Methodist Church, 2401 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO, with the Reverend Fred Royer officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. No visitation is scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to King's Way United Methodist Church - Mission Fund.
