Clay V. Miller, 54, of Springfield, MO was born August 24, 1958 to Ray K., Sr. and Juanita Luthy Miller. He passed away from a lifelong heart condition into the arms of his heavenly father Tuesday evening October 16, 2012. Clay was surrounded by his family. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. Clay graduated from Parkview High School, class of 1976. He attended Gem City College in Quincy, IL for training in watch and jewelry repair and gemological studies. Clay completed the four year program in two years, graduating in 1982. Clay is survived by mother, Juanita Mathes; sister, Cindy (Tracy) Bruce; nephews, Steve McGuire, Mike Scott, Adam Lescard and Dusty Lescard; niece, Krista Lescard; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by father, Ray K. Miller, Sr.; sister, Karen Lescard; maternal grandparents, Nellie and Richard B. Luthy. Clay will always be remembered for his willingness to help and his giving spirit. Services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will follow at Maple Park Cemetery.
