Obituary

Cynthia Kay "Cindy" (nee Grabast) Clark of Springfield, Missouri, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, 73 passed away March 11, 2024, after a battle with cancer.  She will be remembered for her cooking, passion for gardening, and her love of animals.  Cindy graduated from Parkview High School, Springfield, Missouri, in 1968.

In 1970, Cindy married the love of her life, Gary Clark.  After they were married, Cindy went with Gary to Norfolk, Virginia, in order for Gary to complete his service in the Navy.  After that they returned to Springfield, Missouri.  They were married for 51 years.  Gary predeceased Cindy in 2022.  They had one son, Andrew (Andy) Clark.  Along with Andy, eventually they were blessed with a daughter-in-law, Ryan (nee Bellamy), and two grandsons, Joshua Blankley and Samuel Clark.  Their grandsons were the joys of Cindy's life along with their many dogs.  Cindy was looking forward to Johua's upcoming marriage to his fiancé, Delaney Birt.

Cindy had a true passion for being outdoors, whether it was gardening with Gary, landscaping their home, or just being in their backyard with their beloved animals.

In addition to her husband Gary, Cindy is preceded by her father and mother, James Grabast and Betty Grabast, and her sister-in-law, Kathryn Clark Bagwell.  She is survived by her son Andrew Clark and wife, Ryan, her grandsons, Joshua Blankley and Samuel Clark, her sister-in-law, Celeste Johns (Brother-in-law Robert Painter), and her brother-in-law, Stephen Bagwell, Sr, and her nephew, Stephen Bagwell, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2024 from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home with a graveside service at 2:30 pm in Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Cindy's name to Rescue One (Animal Rescue), 1927 East Bennett, Suite B, Springfield, Missouri 65804.

Memories of her will remain in our hearts, always.
