Christopher Lynn Schuler was born on September 30, 1956, the youngest child of Roberta Clotelle Armstead and Wilson Schuler in Springfield, Missouri. Chris graduated from Central High School in the class of 1974.

After completing his degree from Drury University in 1978, he married Christina Schuler in 1983. Through this union, they raised two children and were married for 22 years.

He worked as an Information Technology Services Professional across various cities, including San Antonio, St. Louis, and Chicago, before returning to Springfield in 2003. Chris was a lively character, always ready for a good laugh and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents and oldest sister, Zana Harris. He is survived by his son Christopher Schuler (Chicago) and daughter Christen Schuler (London, England), two sisters Marilyn Ann Byrd (Springfield) and Alana Lyles (Springfield), and a host of nieces and nephews.
