He was our beautiful little boy that grew up to be a gentle giant at 6'8" and 275 pounds.  Christopher Scott May, age 34, born in Abilene Texas September 15, 1985 and died in Butner, North Carolina, December 3, 2019 while being treated for cancer at Duke University Cancer Center in Durham, North Carolina.  Christopher graduated from Fair Grove High School.  He was a Boy Scout member during his school days.  He had many lifelong friends that he went to school with and another family of friends who played video games online.  He was elected video gamer of the month on occasion.  He was preceded in death by both maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Corine Smith, and paternal grandparents, Willie John and Mary Ellen May.  He is survived by parents Patricia Smith and Willie May of the home in Fair Grove, Missouri, a special aunt, Peggy Smith of Rogersville, Missouri, a sister Misty Miller of Abilene, Texas and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm with visitation at 1:00 pm prior to the service.  He will be laid to rest beside his grandpa Smith at Palmetto Cemetery in Rogersville, Missouri.
