IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chloe
Butcher
March 10, 2003 – June 25, 2016
Chloe Elizabeth Butcher, 13, Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 . She was born March 10, 2003 in Springfield, the daughter of Joshua Kent and Shannon Ashley (Parks) Butcher.
Chloe had just finished the 7th grade at Hickory Hills Middle School where her favorite subject was Art. One former art teacher described her as one who was "always able to crack a joke or a smile and [one] who wanted to help those around her." Chloe had a fierce dedication to competitive cheerleading that was admired by her coaches, fellow cheerleaders, and all who watched her perform. No bar set was ever too high for the girl whose main mode of transportation was front handsprings.
The bond that Chloe shared with her parents and brother is one that will forever be held in their hearts. Chloe showed her adventurous spirit in the countless weekends spent with her family and friends at the lake. Chloe also had a community of loyal and loving friends that have gathered with the family to memorialize and honor her memory.
Chloe's last act on this Earth was one of true selflessness – a quality that epitomizes her kind-hearted and helping nature. She touched the heart of every person who knew her, and her contagious giggle and smile will forever be missed.
Chloe is survived by her loving parents, Josh and Shannon; her twin brother, Jacob; grandparents Judy Jones, Richard Jones, Becky Parks, Connie Graves and Gary Graves; great-grandparents Bob and Deloris McClish.
A celebration of Chloe's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Second Baptist Church in Springfield. A visitation will follow the service in the Fireside Room of the church. Private family burial will be held in Maple Park Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chloe Butcher Memorial Fund, https://www.gofundme.com/flyhighcb
