Charles Evans Todd, Jr., age 97, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at home on December 29, 2015.

Charles was born March 3, 1918 near Woodbury, Cannon County, Tennessee.  He served in both World War II and the Korean War as a career Army officer.  He and his wife Patricia met and were married in Hawaii on April 27, 1940. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in April 2015.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles Evans Todd, Sr. and Anna Louise Douglas, and by a daughter Sandra Elaine (Todd) Corey. He is survived by his wife Patricia, by one daughter Terry (Todd) Ferl of St. Louis, Missouri, grandsons Matt, Mike and Jeff Corey and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at a later date, followed by burial at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
