Charles R. "Chuck" Shaw, 76, Springfield, MO passed away November 22, 2013. He was born in Springfield February 28, 1937 to Carl Eugene and Lella Sarah Kane Shaw. He was a 1955 graduate of Central High School and attended Missouri State University. He was a former manager for Allied Paint Co. and later was affiliated with Springfield Chamber of Commerce. Chuck joined Union National Bank in 1968 which began a banking career that spanned more than 40 years before his retirement in 2008. He retired as a Business Development Officer for Hawthorne Bank. He was an avid golfer, classic car buff, and a longtime member of B.P.O.E. (Elks) Lodge #409. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nancy Jane Shaw. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Jeanett (Dan) Kuhn; niece, Mary Melinda Kuhn and fiancé Bruce McElroy, all of Springfield and several cousins and numerous friends. Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00am in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 3:00pm - 4:30pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. A memorial celebration will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 5:30pm at the Springfield Elks Lodge, 2223 E. Bennett. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1630 W. Elfindale St, Springfield, MO 65807 or American Heart Association, 2446 E. Madrid Springfield, MO 65804.
