Obituary

Charles Lowell (Charley) Pertuche, 62, of Springfield went to his heavenly home on November 28th, 2012 after a seven month long courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 7, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Lowell Andrew Pertuche and Ruth L. (Wood) Pertuche. Charley accepted the Lord as his personal savior and followed the Lord in baptism at an early age. He graduated from Central High School in 1967. Charley served his Country in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of VFW Post 639. Charley and Sharon L. Searcy were united in marriage on October 18th, 1980 and they were blessed with a son Nathan Charles Pertuche. Charley operated Charley's Telephone Service for several years and other entrepreneur ventures throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing and going to the Railroad Historical Museum where he had loaned many Frisco items of his and his dads to be on display. He was also an avid NASCAR racing fan with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver. Charley was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sharon and their son Nathan of the home; two sisters, Sharon Patterson and her husband Paul, Barbara Johnson and her husband Bob; father-in-law Paul Searcy; four nieces, two nephews, five great nieces, three great nephews, several cousins and a host of great friends. "Fight Charley Fight" was his sister Sharon's saying to him each time she and her husband Paul would take him to his treatments as he fought so hard to beat cancer. Charley was loved very much by all his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Memorial services with full military honors will be at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1947 E. Seminole St. Springfield, Missouri 65804 on Monday December 3rd at 10:00am with burial at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday December 2nd, from 3:00 to 5:00pm in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Railroad Historical Museum, Inc. c/o Max Jahn secretary-treasurer, 1651 S.
