Obituary

Charles Curtis Otradovec, born Feb. 22, 1936 to James and Mary Otradovec, passed from this life on December 28, 2015 after his battle with a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Teresa; 2 sons, Kevin and Curtis; 3 granddaughters, Amber, Erica, and Macy; and his sister, Mary Frances Ruzicka. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.

Charlie, as he was known to his many friends and relatives, was a kind and loving father, husband, and grandfather. He was also a devout Catholic who always turned to his strong faith and was a friend to all those he met. He loved to spend his free time fishing and enjoyed a variety of other activities. He loved life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face and a handshake for each person that he met. He worked as a contractor salesman for several companies.

The Otradovec family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa Fabro and Kim Hansen of Amedisys, as well as Gayla and Tom Manary of Faith Hospice of the Ozarks for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a charitable donation be made to St. Agnes School Tuition Fund or Faith Hospice of the Ozarks.

A prayer service will be held on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 6:30 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, followed by a visitation. Funeral services will be held at St. Agnes Cathedral on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at 11 am, with burial with full military honors to follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
