Charles Eckman Jr, 89, of Springfield, MO, passed away at 6 am on April 17, 2015 at Cox Medical Center. Charles was a member of South Haven Baptist Church, Springfield, MO. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Eckman Sr; mother, Cleo Eckman; and his sister and brother who passed at birth. He is survived by his wife, Edna Mae Eckman, of Springfield; four sons, Kenneth (Betty) Eckman, of Ozark, Howard Eckman, of Thayer, Larry (Mary Ann) Eckman, of Nashville, TN, and Bob (Rebecca) Eckman, of Thayer; ten grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, April 21, with the Reverend Ryan Palmer officiating. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, Springfield, MO. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Monett, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Haven Baptist Church Building Fund.
