Obituary

Vernon C. Bunselmeyer, 91, Walnut Grove, Mo., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 25, 2009 in his home after a short illness. Mr. Bunselmeyer was born March 6, 1918 in Washington, Mo., the son of Fred and Clara Meyer Bunselmeyer. He was retired from Libscomb Grain and Seed Co., where he was an electrician. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a World War II P.O.W. Army Veteran. He is survived by one daughter, Floretta and her husband Tony, Walnut Grove; one granddaughter, Chasity and her husband Colin, Springfield; one brother, Fred and wife Jean, Farmington, N.M. Lots of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marie in 2003.; his parents and six brothers. Visitation was be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with Father Denis Daugherty O.S.B. officiating. Funeral mass to be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, in Springfield. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Verona, Mo., with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church building fund.
