Charles Dane Blackwell, 63 of Springfield passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in his home. He was born in Springfield on May 21, 1952 to the late Walter "Bud" and Marilyn Jorgensen Blackwell. Dane enjoyed a good book, loved his daughter and grandchildren and spending time with his dog. He was taken from us too soon but we are glad that he has found peace. Dane is survived by his daughter, Laine Scholz and husband Andy; two grandchildren, Dane and Marilyn Scholz; sister, Diane Blackwell; brother David Blackwell, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones. Private family graveside serices will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. A memorial and celebration of Dane's life will be at noon on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Laine's house, 703 E Stanford in Springfield. Friends and family are invited to attend.
