Cecil W. Rough, on August 3, 2014 lost a long, brave battle with Myelodysplasia. Cecil was born in Kansas City, MO on February 14, 1931. He was married to Mary Lou (Atkinson) Rough on June 21, 1951. They were married for 63 wonderful years. They have 3 children, Chris Rough, Julie (Rough) Kelley of Springfield and Sheila Rough of Nixa. He also had 5 grandchildren; Rick, Sierra, Moriah and Rebecca Kelley; and Cameron Rough and his much loved twin great-granddaughters, Niyah and Bella. He worked in Kansas City and Springfield for Southwestern Bell for 33 years. He took early retirement to work with his love of photography. After retiring from photography in 1999, Cecil and Mary Lou continued their travels, including trips to Canada, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Europe and the Middle East. He enjoyed going to McDonalds on S. Campbell to hang out with his coffee buddies. He also loved fishing with his son and grandson. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 4pm at Unity of Springfield, 2214 E. Seminole with visitation at 3pm.
