Cecil Edward Hughes of Cecil's Floral, 62, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 in Select Specialty Hospital.  He was born August 21, 1956 in Springfield to Joe John and Delma L. "Butch" Garbarino Hughes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Pernice and Ricky L. Hughes.

He is survived by his sister, Topsi and her husband, Chris Long of Springfield; nephew, Raymond J. Pernice; niece, Rhonda R. Bussard; nephew, Danny Joe Hicks; great-niece, Alexa Hicks; and great-nephew, Oakland Hicks; great-great-nephew and niece, Axel and Jordyn; and many wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
