Cathy Lynn Spell, 58, of Marshfield, MO passed away February 24, 2016 in Cox South Hospital. She was born October 28, 1957, the daughter of Robert and Wanda (Bass) Jacobs in Lebanon, MO.

Cathy attended Central High School, and her family lived in this area her entire life. Her loved ones refer to her as a caring, loving, selfless and forgiving person. She was dedicated to her family first and foremost.

In addition to her parents, Cathy is survived by her husband, Ray Spell; sons, Tim (Colleen) Norton, Buffalo, MO and Jason (Sarah) Spell, Springfield, MO; daughters, Dana Norton, Candi Henson, Cheri (Corine Stewart) Norton and Debra Spell, Springfield, MO, Jamie Masten, Mt. Vernon and Jessica (Rodney) Clements, Phenix City, AL; brothers, David (Teena) Jacobs and Robert "Bobby" (Corrie) Jacobs, Springfield; sister, Teresa (Michael) Stoke, St. Robert, MO; 18 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 3:00pm in Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. Interment will be held at a later date at McFall Cemetery in Phillipsburg, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Missouri Humane Society, in Cathy's honor, 3161 W. Norton Rd., Springfield, MO 65803.
