Catherine C. Thompson, devoted wife, mother and student online with East Central College in Union, MO, died in her sleep of a cardiac arrhythmia. She was 57 years old. Cathy was a devout Christian, never met a stranger and gave full measure to her family and friends. She held a number of positions in business from retailing with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. to banking and co-owned a The UPS Store.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, William P. Thompson and daughter, Melanie K. Thompson, both residing in Springfield, Missouri.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, with service to follow at 11:30 AM in the church. Catherine will be laid to rest at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis Tennessee or Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri.
