Catherine Ann Arnold, age 82, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021. She was born on April 13, 1939 to Opal and Henry Fromme in Dubois, IN. She grew up in Dubois, IN. She graduated from Dubois High School.
Catherine loved spending time with her family, she was a devout Catholic, she enjoyed helping others, she loved talking about her children and grandchildren to anyone that would listen. She loved to dance and sing, she loved anything that was outside. She loved to macrame, cross stitch, do crafts, sew, and play summer softball games in the field in Spring Hill, KS with the neighborhood families.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 63 years Merton W Arnold, Sr.; son, (Skip) Merton W Arnold, Jr. (Donna) of Mansfield, MA; daughter, Michelle Frerking (Stu) of Franklin, TN; son, Kirk Arnold (Cathie) of Golden, MO; son, Brad Arnold (Shelly) of Crane, MO; daughter, Shannon Arnold of Springfield, MO. Also surviving are grandchildren, Myles Arnold, Amanda Stromgren (Rick), Kelsey Arnold, Emily Frerking, Joel Frerking, Seth Frerking, Crystin Arnold, Kyle Arnold, Meagan Powers (Justin), Brittany Sapiens (Zach), Tyler Ott, Avery Ott; great-grandchildren, Kenley Stromgren, Carson Stromgren, Skyler Wilson, Emelia Gardner, Mason Arnold, Rylen Arnold, Kadyn Arnold, Logan Arnold, Griffin Powers, Kree Horne. Catherine is also survived by her Aunt Frances of Paoli, IN, and several cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews as well as friends.
Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Henry Fromme; her sister, Patricia Johnson; and her nephew, William Johnson.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 11AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 2200 W Republic Rd. Springfield, MO 65807. Burial will follow at 2PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 5201 South Southwood, Springfield, MO 65807.
