IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Casey Elliott
Osredker
August 25, 1995 – May 2, 2025
Casey Elliott Osredker passed away May 2, 2025, at the age of 29. He was born August 25, 1995, in Columbia, SC, the second child of John Timothy (Tim) Osredker and Jane Kathleen (Kathy) Bodenhamer. Casey spent the first few years of his childhood in South Carolina but grew up in Springfield, MO after his family relocated there to be closer to relatives. He graduated from Central High School in 2014 and attended Missouri State University as a non-degree seeking student to explore subjects related to visual art and graphic design.
Casey was self-employed as a freelance artist and had a deep passion for pursuing his craft. He was always pushing himself to explore new techniques and technologies to develop his creative skills. He was a long-time member of the Springfield Life Drawing Group and worked briefly as a gallery attendant at the Springfield Art Museum. In addition to figure drawing, Casey was involved in several other artistic endeavors, including photography, miniature figure modeling, diorama building, and digital art. Despite his own struggles, Casey was known for his kindness and generosity. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to his neighbors, friends, and family. Throughout his life, Casey embodied patience, determination, and perseverance. He taught others how to endure life's hardships through strength of spirit, mind, and character.
He was preceded in death by his father. Casey is survived by his mother, Kathy, his twin brother, Kyle, and his sister, Allison.
The family wishes to thank staff at CoxHealth Medical Center South for their care and support of Casey during his final days.
A graveside service will be held at Brookline Cemetery on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for friends and loved ones to donate to local animal shelters in Casey's honor.
