Carolyn Beth (Tucker) Moncrief, 77 of Springfield, MO passed away at 5:17 p.m. 31st day of May 2023,  peacefully in her home after a short illness.

She was born the daughter of Cary and Mary Emma (Louis)Tucker, in Alliance, Ohio on September 29, 1945.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Akron Ohio where she accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age.  She was involved in various activities such as Sunday School, Usher Board, choir and state church boards.

Carolyn graduated from South High School, class of 1963 and then attended Akron University.

Carolyn was active in her community in Akron until the time that she and her family relocated to Springfield, Missouri in the early 1970's.

In Springfield, Carolyn became a Realtor with a Century 21 company and worked with many other companies during her tenure as an agent.  She was active on many community boards such as: Springfield Housing Authority, held the office of President for the Springfield Chapter of the NAACP (National Association of the Advancement of Colored People), board member of the Prairie States National Board for the National Organization for Women (NOW), held office as Secretary for the Springfield Chapter of AARP to name a few.

She had a great love and respect for books since an early age and would always have a book with her wherever she went. Carolyn would take her children and neighborhood children to the library introducing them to her love of books. Her home was always open to her sons and niece's friends.  If you ever needed anything young or old,  she would pull up and help.
