Obituary

Carrie (Hulsey) Reaves, 57, of Springfield, Missouri died on March 1, 2019 at home after a courageous 6 year battle with ovarian cancer.  Caroline Rose was born June 28, 1961 to Bobbie and Homer Hulsey in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Carrie is survived by her long-term partner of 28 years, Jack Sparks, two children: son Nathaniel (Ashton) Reaves and grandson Noah, daughter Natasha Reaves and grandson Kieran, stepdaughter Lesa (Tom) Anderson and granddaughter Arikha, stepson Jon Sparks;  grandchildren Alex, Zach, Katie and Samantha; sister Liz (Mike) Will and four brothers Paul (Belinda), John (Ann), Tom (Laurel) and Bill Hulsey.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Bobbie Hulsey, brother Michael Hulsey, stepdaughter Jackie Brunberg, and granddaughter Casandre Fletcher.

Carrie will be remembered for her kind and joyful spirit, her twinkling blue eyes and deep love for family and friends.  She had many wonderful memories of time spent at Lake Bull Shoals with family and friends, as well as hunting/fishing and traveling.  She enjoyed reading novels, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, and playing all types of card/board games.

Despite her illness she lived life fully and did not complain.  She cared more about how someone else was feeling than herself.
