Carol Williams, 81, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 24, 1942 in Conway, Missouri, the daughter of Clifford and Gladys Schulz.

Carol was a beloved wife, loving mother and proud nanny.  She and Sam were married for 60 years and together they enjoyed playing golf and traveling with family and friends.  They felt blessed to have been able to visit all 50 states and over 30 countries.  Their favorite place was their home in St. Croix U.S Virgin Islands.  She opened the Lad n' Lass children's clothing store in 1970 and operated it for nearly 30 years.

Carol is survived by her loving husband Sam, daughter Lesa Brown (husband Vaughn), son Jay (wife Ya Wen), brothers Darrell (wife Linda) and Larry (wife Joyce), grandchildren Baylie and Cody, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, she leaves behind many lifelong friends and will be deeply missed by all.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Cox Hospital, Sutton In-Home Health Care and Phoenix Hospice Care for their care and compassion.

Private family services will be held in Hazelwood Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
