Carol Riggs Jones, 87, passed away at home on February 20, 2021. She was born June 25, 1933 in Vigo County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Carl and Sylvia Riggs, who preceded her in death. Carol enlisted in the United States Air Force after high school, where she met the love of her life, William A. Jones. They married January 8, 1955, in San Angelo, TX. They shared 54 years of marriage before Bill's death in 2008.

Throughout her life Carol participated in diverse activities and jobs. She served as the president of the Charlotte, NC Women's Club. Carol worked in banking and realty. Later in life she and Bill owned and operated Whispering Springs Ranch, Theodosia, MO. With all these experiences, family and friends remained her primary focus.

Carol is survived by sons, William A. Jones, Jr., John and wife, Janelle; grandchildren, William Jones III, Andrew Jones, Jennifer Jones, Jessica (Jones) and husband Derek Ziegelbein; great-granddaughter, Lilah Kaye.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Private Graveside Service will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, IL.
