Carol Rae Hastings, 78, Republic, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 5, 2026 in Mercy Hospital. She was born January 25, 1948 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Gale C. Campbell and Donna Marie (Miller) Campbell.

Carol worked for ATT for 32 years and also as a teacher assistant in Hannibal, Missouri. She was an Officer in the Eastern Star and a Grand Officer in the Order of the Eastern Star 12. She was an active member in First Christian Church of Republic, MO. She and her husband, Glenn dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus and Clowns Coy and Callie, for over 30 years, bringing joy to many children. Carol was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed taking trips on the motorcycle with Glenn. Carol was affectionally known as MaMa Duck by those who loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Connie Lanham, and Karen Knight; and brother, Denny M. Campbell.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 59 years and 7 months, Glenn Hastings; nieces and nephews, Laurie Coffman (Bryon), Julie Schinzler (Kurt), Tracy Knight, Kim Reid (Chris), Chip Knight (Nichole), Megan Kinworthy (Mike), Kathy Betts (Nick), Carmen Brennan (Kevin), Holly Eberhart (Chad) and Mac Campbell (Melanie); and many great nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew, one great-great niece and a host of loving friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in First Christian Church of Republic, 443 North Main, Republic, MO, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Missouri Veterans Springfield.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's name may be made to People Helping People, P.O Box 505 Republic MO 65738
