Carol Cox, 75, Springfield, Mo passed away at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 in the Township Memory Care Center.  She was born April 3, 1946 in Ransom, Kansas to Ramon Smith and Greta Louise Spiher Smith.  She was a lover of birds, gardening, horses and nature and was a member of United Methodist Church since childhood.  She was someone who loved travel and was able to see most of the world she lived in.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Tristn Mick.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Larry, Springfield; daughter, Natalie Houston, Ozark; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Stancia Cox, Excelsior Springs, MO; granddaughters, Rhiannon, Nicole and Kerrie Ann.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with a service beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Child Advocacy Center, 1033 East Walnut Street, Springfield, MO 65806.  Phone 417-831-2327, website childadvocacycenter.org.
