Carol Ann Coleman was born December 25, 1946 to Leroy and Tillie Hutchison. Born in Houston, Texas where her father was stationed in the Navy, they moved to Springfield, Missouri where she and her two brothers attended St. Agnes Catholic School. After moving to Kansas City for work upon graduation, Carol met her future husband, Orville Lee Coleman. They were married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in Springfield on March 30, 1968. Orville and Carol resided in Kansas City, where their daughter, Annette, was born in 1969. Yearning to share their life closer to their families, they moved to Springfield, welcoming their son, Bob, in 1971. Devout Christians, they raised their children in the light of Christ.

Carol was an avid gardener who kept beautifully manicured flower beds across their property and filled the inside of their home with diverse and unique plants. Knowing how much she enjoyed taking care of them, Orville built her a large bay window so she could admire them while resting after a day’s work. Some of the plants she kept are even older than her children. Carol also enjoyed going to garage sales, delighting in the find of a rare antique to buy and trade, and even held annual garage sales to give others the chance for some of her found treasures.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Tillie Hutchison, and niece Amy Hutchison.

She is survived by Orville, her loving husband of 58 years, her daughter Annette Beacham (Johnny Rodriguez), her son Bob Coleman (Amanda), grandchildren, Spencer and Jack Beacham, and Abigail and Lauren Coleman, her brothers, Leroy Jr. Hutchison (Vicki) and Robert Hutchison, and a nephew Justin Hutchison (Trisha).
