Carol Lynn (Blazier) Massey is remembered with love and admiration by her family and friends. She was born on November 2, 1945 in Knoxville, Tennessee, and peacefully passed away in the early morning of December 27, 2023 in Springfield, Missouri.

Carol dedicated her career to being a dental hygienist. She was one of the first hygienists in Springfield and worked for various dentists in the area before establishing her career working alongside Dr. James A Massey at the Wedgewood Dental practice in Springfield. Together, they served their patients with care and compassion until their retirement in 2011. Carol's love for her patients and her passion for helping others were evident in everything she did.

Outside of her career, Carol indulged in her beloved hobbies. Gardening, baking, and sewing brought her immense joy and allowed her to express her creativity. She found solace and contentment planting in her beautiful rock garden, creating delicious treats, and sewing beautiful creations.

Carol's love extended beyond her hobbies to her furry companions. She adored her dogs and cats and showered them with affection and care.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, David and Ora Mae Blazier, and her beloved husband of 37 years, Dr. James A Massey. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will forever be cherished.

Carol is survived by her children, Barbra Myers, Tisha Martin and her husband Trevor, Jim Massey and his wife Summer, Jeff Massey, and Jared Massey. Her grandchildren, Jacob Austin, Sadie Martin, and Greta Martin, brought much joy to her life.

She is also survived by her brother, Dwight Blazier, and his wife Connie, along with her niece, LaTasha Wehrle, and her nephew, Eric Blazier.

For the past two years, Carol resided at The Fremont Senior Living community in Springfield, under the watchful and caring staff in Memory Care. The dedication and compassion of the staff, under the direction of Lana, provided Carol with comfort, love and support during her final years.

Additionally, St Croix Hospice provided exceptional care and personalized support for Carol during her short time under their care.

Carol Lynn Massey will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy will continue to inspire kindness and love. May she rest in eternal peace.

Carol's interment and life celebration is planned for Friday, July 26th and will be attended by her children at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
