Carl Wayne Stewart, 70, of Springfield, MO passed away July 12, 2025. He was born June 24, 1955 in Del Rio, TX, the son of Loyal Luther Stewart and Donna Jean (Melton) Stewart.
Carl is survived by his wife, Christina Stewart, of Springfield, MO; mother, Donna Stewart of Ozark, MO; sister, Sharon (Stewart) Combs and husband Elva Combs of Ozark, MO; brother, Roger Stewart and wife Christine of Republic, MO; children, Richard A. Stewart and Twyla (Stewart) Sawyer, both of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Katelyn Sawyer and Mya Stewart; niece, Stepfanie (Combs) Diamond of Ozark, MO; nephews, Tyler Combs of Springfield, MO and Hunter Stewart of Utah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Loyal L. Stewart, infant sister Tereasa Ann Stewart, and grandchild Troy Allen Wilson.
Carl graduated from Ozark High School in 1973, Ozark, MO. Later, he obtained his Bachelor of Information Technology degree from American Intercontinental University. Right after high school he was employed at Zenith, Springfield, MO an electronic and TV Manufacturer Company and worked there until the plant closed.
He joined the Missouri National Guard in 1979 and served 20 yrs and achieved the rank of E6, Staff Sergeant. During that tenure he deployed to Honduras and afterwards worked overseas as a Civilian Contractor.
He went to work in the 90's at the 1107th AVCRAD in the Avionics department, Springfield, MO and retired at the age of 66.
He was an avid computer technician, and electronic expert which benefited his family greatly. He also was a HAM Operator and enjoyed talking to people all over the world. He loved his dogs and was a great dog dad. He will be missed terribly by his family and extended family and friends and pets.
Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
