Carl Walter Fisher, age 87, of Springfield MO, passed away June 16, 2012, peacefully with his family around him, at Cox South Hospital. He was in the Navy and retired from the Army and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was a member of the Elks. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and one son. He is survived by his wife Winnie Fisher of 59 years, two daughters Toni Jo Bonner (Bill) and Carla Bienkowski (Tom), and son Rodney Fisher (Sally); seven grandkids and eleven great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Fisher's services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home, 1600 South Hickory Street, Mt. Vernon, MO 65712 and the Missouri Department of Conservation, 2901 West Truman Blvd, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
