Burney Grover Sixkiller, 42, of Nixa, Mo, passed away February 7, 2014 in Cox Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Burney was born July 12, 1971 in Carthage, Mo to Burney L. and Pat Sixkiller. Burney was preceded in death by one daughter, Heaven Dawn Sixkiller. Surviving are his wonderful mother, Pat Sixkiller; his true love, Teresa Butler; her daughters, Amber and Brandy; granddaughter, Izabella; his very loved daughter, Jasmin; special granddaughter Somur; a son, Wolf Ray; sister and partner in crime, Shelly Hoskins; brother and confidante, Randy and wife Melissa and their daughter Laila. Anyone that had the honor of knowing Burney, his smile and jovial demeanor should feel blessed. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 1 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with visitation to follow. There will be a gathering for the benefit of Burney's family on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at The Hangout (the Old Daily Pub) 1906 E. Meadowmere in Springfield.
