Obituary

On Thursday, 5/14, Bruce left his earthly home hopefully to roar into heaven to see the best car show ever. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, he graduated from Ruskin High School in 1965.

He joined the Army in 1967 and served in Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange. After the Army he returned to Kansas City and held various positions eventually became the successful owner of Kansas Coachworks. After he retired to his lake house in Warsaw, he started two more businesses. He was a talented marksman, fisherman, avid car enthusiast, and more. He moved to Springfield in 2020 and enjoyed his time here. 

He leaves a wife, stepson, three nephews, and beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Annie and Buddy. Memorial contributions can be sent to Phoenix Hospice, the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, or the American Cancer Society.

Graveside service with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
