Britt James Bunch, 37, of Springfield, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in his home.  He was born July 20, 1981 in O'Neill, Nebraska, the son of Dennis Lee and Cathy Ann (Donnell) Bunch.

Britt was proud of his mind and wasn't afraid to let you know that he was the smartest person you had ever met. After breezing through high school, Britt took his talents to Springfield to further his education. The sciences came easy to him so naturally he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. The first three and half years of college were so easy, he decided to take what he called a "sabbatical", those of us who knew him best considered it majoring in Fun and not taking that next step towards graduation. He wasn't one to follow the traditional path which worked best for him. He took it upon himself to see many sporting events, concerts, pool parties, and general mischief. Tending bar was his career which he perfected while also completing his education in 2009. Britt loved baseball, cooking, float trips, the occasional road trip, and spending time with friends and family. Britt did not like the Doors. It was a pirate's life for Britt!

Those were his hobbies, Lindy and Lucas were his life.

Britt is now spending quality time in heaven with his beloved grandmother Etta Jean Donnell.

Britt is survived by his extremely patient/always understanding wife (aka the fun police), Lindy Michelle (Young) Bunch and their chair jumping/randomly screaming/running through the house with general disregard for safety son, Lucas James Bunch; his parents, Dennis and Cathy;  sister, Caron Dawn Woods; brother, Chris Eugene Bunch; grandparents, James L. and Eula D. Bunch and Stanley E. Donnell; and an extended family of pirates and other mischief makers.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  An open house will follow at Galloway Grill from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.  IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, donations may be made to the Go Fund Me that has been established to help his family at https://www.gofundme.com/xcy34n-how-you-can-help
