Brenda LaRae Roy Boykins, 54 passed away January 31, 2015 in Springfield, MO. She was born on November 22, 1960 in Los Angeles, CA to George Edward Roy III and Azel Leona Fleming. Brenda grew up in Compton, CA and graduated high school in 1973 at St. Mary's in Compton, CA. In 1988, Brenda and her three boys, Robert II, Kevin and Kridan moved to Columbia, MO. In 2003 Brenda, her mother, two sons and daughter moved to the Springfield area. She was a member of Covenant of Grace and had accepted Christ as her Savior. Brenda is preceded in death by her son, Kridan C. Parker and grandmother, Salone Fleming. She is survived by her sons, Robert Parker II and his wife Kim, Kevin Parker and his wife Marcie, Kyle Roy and Kyren Roy; daughter, Koriana Roy; grandchildren, Karmoni, Karlaya, Robert III, Kevin Jr., Kaydence, KyLeigh, Keiera, Kashawn, Kyjah and Trayvon. In addition to her parents, she is survived by siblings, George IV, Lorenzo, Azele, Angelina, Alex, Robert, Cezar, Sheree and Tanya. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 2 to 4:00 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery at a later date.
